Randall Harvey, MS, LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor)

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wright State University. I grew up in a military family and experienced my own fair share of troubles as a youth.

I spent one summer working in an inner-city community and was inspired to follow a calling from God for helping others, leading me to pursue a religious vocation. Eventually my focus was on pastoral counseling, including working as a chaplain at the VA. It was during this time that I had the honor of working with Veterans suffering from depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, loss and grief, and substance abuse issues.

My time spent working with these individuals motivated me to pursue a degree in counseling. As your therapist, counselor, and coach, I am here to help you on your journey to discover a happier, healthier, and more fulfilling life – the one you have always wanted and deserve. My focus is to help you identify and address those issues which cause emotional and psychological pain. Each session is dedicated to understanding your thoughts, feelings, and emotions. I place an emphasis on teaching you coping and problem-solving skills which allow you to attain a greater understanding of your emotional self.

Joshua (Josh) Englefield, DSW, MSSA, LISW-S (Licensed Independent Social Worker

Education and Experience

I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker in Ohio. Most of my experience has been working with children, youth, adults, and families in a variety of mental health settings. In 2010, I earned my Master of Science in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Currently, I am pursuing a Doctorate in Social Work (DSW) through the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Philosophy of Life and Practice

Aligned with the social work tradition of empowerment and social justice, I believe in and practice from a Strengths-based perspective. All people have strengths that are the building blocks of a successful and meaningful life. Any client who enters a therapeutic interaction with me will be asked to inventory their strengths and assets.

Building on the strengths-based perspective I believe in the dignity and worth of all individuals. As a social worker, our code of ethics requires that we adopt this belief. Through many encounters with individuals and groups of people I have come to wholeheartedly believe that people are resilient in the face of pain, trauma, grief, and suffering. Through internal strength and external support, we can discover healing and live a fruitful life.

Therapeutic Practice

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Strengthening Marriages through effective communication strategies, Couples/relationship therapy, Family Systems, Anger Management, Academic and Vocational functioning, and Religious and Spiritual considerations

My Interests

Family is most important to me. Health in body, mind, and spirit are core values and areas of interest. As a family we are active, enjoy intellectual endeavors, and exercise our faith through individual and family prayer and attending weekly Mass . Currently my research interests include compassion and care for others and helping marginalized individuals and groups develop their voice as advocates.

Thank you for the privilege of working with you towards your goals!
