Licensed Professional Counselor

Meet
Monica

Monica Salisbury is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with more than eight years of experience helping adolescents and adults navigate life's challenges with compassion, encouragement, and practical support. She believes that meaningful change is possible for everyone and is passionate about helping clients discover the strength and resilience they already possess.

Monica understands that anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, and major life transitions can leave people feeling overwhelmed or stuck. She provides a supportive, collaborative environment where clients can process difficult experiences, gain new perspectives, and develop practical tools to move forward with greater confidence.

One of Monica's favorite parts of being a therapist is watching clients realize they are stronger than they thought. She believes that lasting growth happens when people begin to see themselves differently and recognize they are capable of overcoming challenges that once felt impossible.

She is EMDR Certified and integrates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and psychodynamic principles to tailor treatment to each client's unique needs and goals. Monica has extensive experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, veterans, survivors of domestic violence, and individuals navigating significant life changes.

One of Monica's core beliefs is that lasting change begins with the way we think about ourselves and our experiences. She often reminds clients, "If you change your mind, you can change your life." Her goal is to help clients recognize unhelpful patterns, build healthier ways of thinking, and create meaningful, lasting change.

For clients who desire it, Monica is also happy to integrate Christian faith into the counseling process, thoughtfully blending evidence-based therapy with biblical principles in a way that supports each client's unique values and goals.

Clients often describe Monica as compassionate, encouraging, and easy to talk to. She values creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel supported while also being challenged to grow.

Whether you're healing from trauma, navigating a difficult season, or simply looking to better understand yourself, Monica would be honored to help you build the life you want.
