Meet
Katie
Katie believes that healing doesn't always happen through big breakthroughs—often it begins with small moments of insight that grow into lasting change. She is passionate about creating a warm, encouraging space where clients feel safe to be themselves, explore life's challenges, and discover new ways to move forward.
Katie's approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), helping clients recognize unhelpful thought patterns, build healthy coping skills, and develop greater confidence in navigating life's ups and downs. For clients who desire it, she also enjoys incorporating Christian faith into the counseling process.
Before entering the counseling profession, Katie spent many years in music education and earned a Master's degree in Flute Performance. Her background has given her a deep appreciation for creativity, perseverance, and the unique ways people express themselves. When it aligns with a client's goals, she enjoys incorporating creative arts interventions into therapy to foster insight, resilience, and emotional well-being.
As a graduate counseling intern completing her clinical training, Katie is committed to providing thoughtful, evidence-based care under professional supervision while continuing to grow as a clinician.
Clients often describe Katie as calm, compassionate, and encouraging. She believes healing happens through connection, trust, and taking one step at a time.
Outside of counseling, Katie is a wife and mother of two daughters. She continues to perform as a flutist in a semi-professional wind band conducted by her husband. She enjoys hiking, spending time with her family, and embracing her role as the dedicated chauffeur to her daughters' many activities.
Whether you're navigating a difficult season, looking for practical tools, or simply wanting a safe place to grow, Katie would be honored to support you on your journey.
